Raisa is brought up within Los Angeles by both of her parents. There are two sisters: Irlanda Almendarez and Italia Almendarez. Francia refers to the Italian word for France. Italia and Irlanda are two Italian terms that refer to Italy. Virginia Almendarez is Mexican, and Renan hails from Honduras. Renan switched his last name to Cucuy just after Francia's birth.
